Eat, Sip and Spin in...Pittsburgh

Making some of the best music players on earth isn’t the only thing we do at Victrola. Our staff loves to travel, loves record stores, loves to eat, loves a fine cocktail, and loves to hunt for the best places to do all those things in every metropolis in the United States. We want to share our favorite places with you, so we invented Eat, Sip, and Spin in…to tell you about our favorite places to do those things.

The second biggest city in Pennsylvania has been in the spotlight lately, thanks to the HBO hit The Pitt. But the city is much more than overworked fictional ER doctors: it's the home of the Warhol Museum, and becoming a genuine cultural hub thanks to its growing rock scene. If you find yourself in the Pitt, here's where we think you should eat, sip, and spin.

Eat

Start at Everyday Noodles: you can see them making the noodles fresh, everything is delicious, great soup dumplings!!! As a bonus, it's close to Jerry's Records.  If you're into steak, go to Gaucho Parilla Argentina, located downtown, this steak house is a little more pricey but the food is bomb!

For pizza, go to Pizzeria Davide, the best pizza in Pittsburgh. Or head to Primanti's, home of the famous 'french fry on a sandwich' Pittsburgh classic.

Sip

For cocktails, we recommend Shiloh Gastro, which is located in Mt Washington, which we highly recommend walking Grandview Ave. for the best views of the city!

Head to Thunderbird Cafe next; it's great little bar with a concert venue hidden in the basement, great place to catch a show in the heart of Lawrenceville. For breweries, go to Grist House Brewery which has great beers, and is right around the corner from Attic Record store!

Spin

Pittsburgh has two really incredible stores we can't recommend enough. The first is Jerry's Records, which is Pittsburgh's largest record store, and has been open for 50+ years! The other is Attic Record Store, which has an awesome selection, and a better staff and vibes.
