If the object of life, as one philosopher put it, is to live fast and leave a beautiful corpse, no band did that better than Fleetwood Mac. Entire infrastructures of multiple organizations depended on the group's, well, proclivities, in the '70s, but none of that ended up mattering: they made the most enduring song book of any '70s band in the span of just three albums (Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and Tusk.)
